A few years ago I almost starved myself to lose weight and over exercised. The weight came off but I also damaged my body, joints. Yet my doctor (obgyn)praised my weight loss 🤷‍♀️. It's almost as if it didn't matter how I got there.

I have gotten a long print out because my BMI was slightly over but a dangerous gi issue was completely missed

Way too much emphasis on a number

For sure. Doctors can be very myopic when it comes to weight. I wish they would focus on health more.

I've always weighed more than I look too. You can't go by that

Me too. Being short with muscles doesn't help either. It's a big shortcoming of medicine today to focus on weight rather than health. If all the blood work is good, then weight shouldn't be an issue.
