So many valuable lessons from the yoga mat 😊 Some of my favourites are to meet life as it's unfolding moment by moment, and to remember that moments of intensity always pass ❤
The most important thing I’ve learned from yoga is breathing. Especially if I’m feeling stressed or anxious I can breathe myself out of it. Most of the time.
Regarding breath, my first yoga instructor used to say, “Breathe, pay attention to your breath. Don’t hold it! If you aren’t breathing you’re not doing yoga, you’re just doing weird stretching exercises.”
Great tips. I recently learn the one about speaking more kindly to myself in therapy. It is super helpful. Thanks for writing this I just subscribed.

Yes! That's a good one! The ability to step back from your thoughts and notice what is is so powerful.

Fascinating

Lol! I love that! Certain styles of yoga emphasize the breath more than others, but in my mind they are connected.
