The most important thing I’ve learned from yoga is breathing. Especially if I’m feeling stressed or anxious I can breathe myself out of it. Most of the time.

Regarding breath, my first yoga instructor used to say, “Breathe, pay attention to your breath. Don’t hold it! If you aren’t breathing you’re not doing yoga, you’re just doing weird stretching exercises.”

Lol! I love that! Certain styles of yoga emphasize the breath more than others, but in my mind they are connected.
