In Gym a very great athlete told me if I want to get rid of fat and keep suitable weight I should not eat after 6:00 pm. I loved his idea, I’m not saying I control my self 💯 but mostly I’m ok with this time.
You have a valid point about the BMI. It’s too simple of a formula to be more than a general idea.
Whole grains. Turns out the lectins and other harmful plant compounds in the hull of the seed are problematic for almost all humans, making white flour “healthier”. The damage is undetectable for most of us but builds up over time. You can find more information in The Plant Paradox.
The lectins can be managed through soaking and sprouting the grains, like legumes, which have the same issue. Plants protecting themselves. Personally I tend to avoid grains because I don't like how they feel, aside from rice and oats mostly. Getting back to traditional ways of food prep can help with a lot of the plant protection issues. Thanks for sharing, I will check out the Plant Paradox.
