This is an awesome reflection Janine! I also don't love running (more than 10 minutes) but find playing basketball and pickleball to be life giving. Although it's simple, the idea of finding movement that we enjoy is wonderfully profound. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Jamal! Movement is what matters. I often say, you don't need to go to the gym for it to count. Playing games or sports, even dancing in your living room, it's all movement. When it's joyful and fun, you will go back to it over and over.

This is so wise and full of the wisdom of flow. I often say my body is like a dog, it has to be taken out for walks and bike rides regularly. It is so therapeutic.

Absolutely, and even more true as we age. Movement is medicine, as they say.

A great post, Janine. If we don't enjoy exercise no matter what form it takes, we will eventually give up on it. And that doesn't benefit us at all. Here's another quote from an anonymous source:

Winners never quit. And Quitters never win.

I remember that from the Brady Bunch! I don't know the original source though.

I think we only quit when we are not enjoying what we do. If you love it, you won't quit.
