When you picture someone meditating, you might visualize a person sitting perfectly still on a cushion, a peaceful expression on their face, and an overall ease about them.
You really nailed it, Janine! When I walk alone; it's meditation. I used to swim everyday. That was a profoundly meditative experience. I miss it and keep saying I need to get back into it. My problem is that I no longer have a good place to swim. Swimming meditation got me through a lot of tough thins from law school, bar exams, a bad breakup. It brought me peace and joy. The way you described your swimming mediation experience was spot on. Thank you for the reminder that meditation doesn't have to involve sitting quietly.
This is great. So agree ... walking meditation and other focused activities always improve your headspace.
Always. Which is why you don't have to sit to meditate, it's only one way.
Nice

Swimming is definitely my favorite type of meditation. Walking too. I'm glad my writing resonated with you Daria!
