So.. I think I've been most hesitant about starting yoga because I'm overweight & feel like too many of the poses will be too difficult for a larger body. I'm a new subscriber so I haven't looked yet but if you haven't covered it previous articles, I'd love to hear your thoughts about this! <3
Yoga is for ALL bodies. There is always a way to practice no matter how big or small your body is. I don't think I have covered this specific issue with practicing physical poses, but I deeply believe in loving the body that you have a working with what you've got. Please reach out at any time if you have questions. 💜
Hi, I discovered you a few months ago but am just now settling into my own Substack so I feel I can spend time to take care of myself, too. I am 80 years old. When I was in 10th grade, I ordered a book on yoga through Parade magazine and began teaching myself, which is the way I learn best. I have continued my practice off and on since, mostly alone, sometimes in a class. and a three month stint right before the pandemic to learn poses to help heal an injury. I am excited about your program that allows me to take care of my body on my own time. I do tend to lurk, then apply what I've seen to my body and it's issues.
Petrena, what a wonderful story! I wish I had started as young as you did. The beautiful thing about yoga is that it's for everybody at any age! You can make it what you need, as you did, to heal an injury, or to learn more about yourself, or to stay strong, etc. I am grateful that you are here, even as a "lurker. " 💜
I love that you are offering the same content for paid vs free subscribers. I have yet to turn on paid, but I was thinking along the same lines as you.
That’s very nice writing style and I highly appreciate your life course. I have different other sides to relax and feel comfortable to carry on my journey in this life. On the other hand, I love your inner peace and love to others, this is so important to see coexistence in community. As long as your page is free I will keep on, but I will ever never hesitate to participate when you will turn it into pay off.
You're awesome, Janine! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I knew you back when you were a hard core dancer and am happy to stay in touch virtually all these years later...
Thanks for the follow! Yoga has changed my life too, for sure. I found it at 23 when I needed it and have stuck with it ever since. Thank you for subscribing!

Also - YOGA. 💗💗💗
Yes, it makes sense for me. I do offer paid subscribers a discount on one of my offerings, but in terms of my content, I don't like the paywall.
