💯 all of this, Janine. Thank you for sharing. I do the first strategies you mentioned and they help- I could try more screaming at the top of my lungs. I'm feeling the anger lately - thanks for the tip.
Given that I live in the city, the yelling strategy probably isn't a good idea. I did vote early yesterday, and that helped somewhat; on Thursday I did some vigorous exercise, and that helped quite a bit, so I'm going to do more of that. I've also been writing more. So my next target now is regular breathing and meditation. Earlier in the year, I did it daily, and I need to get back to that. Thank you for reminding me again about the sources of high anxiety, for reminding me to take what actions I can and let go of the rest. Peace.
Happy to help, Miguel, well done! Yelling in the city is not ideal, but all the other tools are at your disposal. Sometimes we just need a little reminder.
A release of emotion can leave you a bit unsteady, but if you sit with it and breathe, allowing the shaking to happen, you settle into the calm. Shaking is a release of energy and settles the nervous system. If you intentionally shake your body, that can help the process as well. Thanks for sharing, Pete!

Happy to help, Katie. Nothing like a good scream. 🤘
To get away from anxiety just people do what they can do, the thing we can afford.
I love this. No overthinking agreed.
These are all free tools that you can do at any time!
Yes, and I love them I fully understood you
